I’m Derek. I am a Catholic. I am husband to a beautiful woman. I am father to five wonderful (and hungry!) children. I am an author & a teacher.

In his letter to the Philippians, St. Paul exhorted Christians:
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Since my conversion to Jesus Christ & the Catholic faith two decades ago, I have tried to take St. Paul’s direction & find the best things in life, the things that are true, good, & beautiful.
